Refund Policy
Last updated: October 2026
If it isn't right for you, tell us within 30 days and we'll refund the purchase in full. No questionnaire, no argument.
Why we can offer this
We'd rather you ran the board for a month and found it genuinely useful than talked yourself into something you'll resent. There is a free 30-day trial — install it on your own server and run the complete product against your own incidents before you commit, so by the time you buy, you should already know.
How to request a refund
- Email support@optransparency.com from the address you purchased with.
- Include your license key or the order reference, if you have it to hand.
- We'll confirm and process the refund to your original payment method.
You don't need to give a reason. If you'd like to tell us what didn't work, we'd genuinely like to hear it — but it isn't a condition of the refund.
What we refund
- Perpetual license ($399) — refunded in full if requested within 30 days of purchase.
- Updates and support ($199/year) — refunded in full within 30 days of the renewal date.
- Multiple or accidental purchases — refunded in full at any time, obviously.
Timing
We process refunds within a few business days. Once issued, the money's return depends on your bank or card issuer, which is typically 5–10 business days. The refund is issued by our merchant of record to the original payment method — we can't redirect it elsewhere.
After a refund
The license key associated with the refunded purchase is deactivated. The software you already installed will drop back to read-only mode after its trial period ends — your existing data is never deleted, and if you decide to buy again, the same installation picks straight back up. We won't deactivate anything until the refund has actually been issued.
Bought through a marketplace?
If you purchased through a reseller or marketplace rather than directly, their refund terms may apply instead. Ask us and we'll point you the right way — we won't leave you stuck between two policies.
Statutory rights
This policy sits alongside your statutory rights, not instead of them. If consumer law in your jurisdiction entitles you to more than this, you get that.
