Operational Transparency Board
A self-hosted status board and IT communications tool. Show your users what's down, keep an audit-ready incident history, and push updates by email and chat — without shipping your outage data to a third-party SaaS.
The pitch in one line: everything the $100–200/month status-page services do, for a one-time license fee, running on hardware you control.
Highlights
- Public status page — unauthenticated read-only board your whole org can open; incidents with live update timelines, scheduled maintenance windows, and subscription-based email alerts.
- Full incident lifecycle — active → resolved with mandatory resolution notes, auto-locked records for a tamper-evident history, admin unlock with audit trail.
- Operational metrics — MTTD / MTTA / MTTR computed automatically per incident, plus a recurring-root-cause report out of the box.
- Maintenance windows — their own lifecycle (scheduled → started → completed → closed) with reschedule support.
- Reminder scheduler — nags the on-call operator when an active P1 goes 45 minutes without an update.
- Optional integrations, each independently configured — PagerDuty, OPManager, Zoho Desk, power-outage monitoring (FEMA), Google Chat notifications. Every tile hides itself cleanly when not configured.
- Subscription emails — self-service subscribe/unsubscribe/verify, per-subscriber location and outage-type filters.
- Demo mode — one checkbox at setup fills the board with fictional sample data so you can evaluate it before committing.
Quick start (60 seconds)
# Linux / Docker
docker compose up -d
# open http://localhost:3010 — create the admin account on first visit
# Windows
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1
# open http://localhost:3010 — create the admin account on first visit
No integrations required — the board is fully useful with zero
configuration beyond the admin account. Set SESSION_SECRET
before going to production.
Licensing
- 30-day free trial on first run, all features.
- After the trial, the board stays viewable by everyone; administrative actions are paused until you activate a license key (Admin → License).
- A license is perpetual for the version you bought; an optional annual plan adds updates and support. Skipping a year never locks you out.
See EULA.md for terms and docs/INSTALL.md
for activation steps.
